Built by Cooper Communities, this incredible facility is located on the shore of Lake Thurmond, a 70,000 acre reservoir formed by the Savannah River. This fantastic development includes home sites, championship golf, a $2.5 million recreation center with an indoor pool, exercise facilities, meeting rooms, and a bowling alley, and a variety of activities and lakeside amenities. Popular attractions nearby include Augusta, home of the Masters Golf Tournament; Abbeville, with its brick streets and Civil War historical sites, and McCormick, with its restored downtown. Atlanta, Georgia is about 142 miles away, and the beaches of South Carolina, along with Charleston, are within 180 miles. Surrounding Savannah Lakes are three state parks, along with some 50,000 acres of public land offering hunting, fishing, and hiking.
