There’s never a bad time to go on vacation, but there are definitely optimal times. After all, you’d have a very different experience if you visited a ski resort in August than you would in December. When it comes to planning the perfect vacation, it’s all about the where and when. Fortunately, the Marriott Vacation Club has you covered, no matter when you have time to travel. Here are some of the top Marriott timeshare locations for every season, from cozy winter ski lodges to beachside paradises.
Winter: Skiing, Snowbirds, and Celebrations
When it comes to a winter vacation, especially over the holidays, there are two major schools of thought.
- “I want to experience all the unique wonders that winter has to offer, like snowcapped mountains, skiing, and drinking hot cocoa by the fire.”
- “It is way too cold! Get me out of here!”
Naturally, there are Marriott timeshare locations that cater to both demographics. Here are some of our picks.
Snow Days in Lake Tahoe at Marriott Timeshare Locations

Lake Tahoe is a beautiful destination year-round, but South Lake Tahoe in winter is on a different level. Take the breathtaking views and countless activities of Lake Tahoe and coat it all in a pristine layer of powdered snow, and you’ve got a genuine winter wonderland on your hands. Whether you like skiing, shopping, or simply getting cozy by the fireplace, Lake Tahoe has something for everyone.
Marriott Vacation Club members or renters looking to hit the slopes at Heavenly Mountain Resort in South Lake Tahoe have two fantastic options: Marriott’s Timber Lodge and Marriott’s Grand Residence Club at Lake Tahoe. Both resorts are just steps from the Heavenly Gondolas, but cater to different demographics.
Timber Lodge is the more family-oriented of the two properties, offering a children’s activity center and a teen club. It’s also the only one to offer traditional guestrooms, meaning it tends to be a bit busier than its counterpart.
The Grand Residence Club offers only villas, and its amenities are geared more toward adults. It’s not an adult-only resort, but travelers looking for a quieter experience are less likely to encounter free-roaming kids and teens.
For a truly exclusive experience, however, you may want to save your club points for a stay at the Ritz-Carlton Club, Lake Tahoe. Located a bit further from the tourism hub of Heavenly Village, the Ritz offers direct access to the Northstar California ski resort, along with an at-your-service ski valet, dedicated concierge, a spa, and other luxury amenities.
Holidays in New York City at Marriott Timeshare Locations

New York City is a perfect destination for people who want a more metropolitan holiday. Take a stroll down 5th Avenue to admire the elaborate window displays before visiting Rockefeller Center’s famous Christmas tree. Take a stroll through snowy Central Park with a cup of hot cocoa and watch the ice skaters. You can even close out your visit by watching the ball drop in Times Square.
Marriott Vacation Club Pulse, New York City, is the perfect home base for an urban holiday. Marriott’s Pulse brand consists exclusively of city properties, each located in the heart of one of the US’s urban hotspots. Pulse New York is located between the Empire State Building and Bryant Park, with ready access to Times Square and Grand Central Station.
Pulse New York offers a unique city-style experience, with modern accommodations designed for travelers who want to be in the heart of Manhattan. Unlike other traditional timeshare resorts, it captures the energy and convenience of a boutique hotel while still delivering Marriott’s signature comfort and service.
Marriott Timeshare Locations for Celebration in Orlando

The City Beautiful is one of the world’s most popular tourism destinations, thanks in no small part to everyone’s favorite cartoon mouse. Of course, there’s more to Orlando than Walt Disney World: aside from other parks like Universal Orlando, you can also find bustling nightlife, an incredible art scene, gorgeous parks, and easy access to beaches in Tampa and Daytona.
Winter is peak tourism season in Central Florida. With hurricane season passed and the scorching summer heat giving way to almost room-temperature coolness, visitors can escape the bitter cold without having to trade it for heat waves and daily rains. This makes the prospect of spending a full day exploring the likes of the Magic Kingdom or Epic Universe much more appealing.
Marriott has nine resort properties in Orlando, like Cypress Harbour and Lakeshore Reserve, with direct access to nearby theme parks. Amenities include spa services, on-site cinemas, arcades, recreation facilities, and equipment rentals for outdoor excursions. So even if you’re exhausted from the parks, your kids will have plenty to do when you take a day to relax and destress.
Spring: Sandy Shores and Fun in the Sun
Spring is the perfect time for outdoor adventures, especially on the shore. The weather is warm and mild, the kids have time off school, and nature is in full, glorious bloom. Whether you’re traveling for a week or a weekend, Marriott Vacations has a timeshare perfect for your needs.
Marriott Resorts in Fort Lauderdale: America’s Venice

Located just an hour north of Miami, Fort Lauderdale is one of Florida’s most iconic cities. Like its sister, it offers beautiful beaches, a vibrant art and music scene, and some of the best food you’ll find in the country. However, this city is so much more than an extension of Miami.
Fort Lauderdale’s most famous feature is its canal system, earning it the nickname of “the Venice of America”. There are over 300 miles of canal in the metro area, more than half of which are found in the city proper. Guests can ride one of the city’s iconic water taxis, rent a boat for personal use, or even book an authentic Venetian gondola!
Marriott’s BeachPlace Towers is located just steps away from Las Olas Beach, one of the hottest nightlife hubs in the city. You’re just a short walk away from the city’s most iconic destinations, including the world-famous Elbo Room bar and the gorgeous Riverwalk shopping district. South Florida’s other attractions, including golf, the Everglades, and everything Miami has to offer, are only a short trip away.
Fort Lauderdale is also a hub for cruise lovers, thanks to the nearby Port Everglades. Marriott Vacation Club owners can trade their points for cruises via the Interval International exchange program, so even if Fort Lauderdale is just the start or end of your tropical adventure, you can make it part of a vacation to remember.
Marriott Timeshare Locations on Hilton Head Island

Hilton Head is an island paradise known for its white sand beaches, making it a popular spring destination for families across the USA. It’s also one of the largest timeshare hubs in the country. There is even a Disney Vacation Club property in Hilton Head, and they don’t even have a theme park in South Carolina! It’s that good.
Marriott offers a whopping nine timeshare locations on Hilton Head, so you’ve got no shortage of options. Guests of a nautical bent will love Harbour Point and Sunset Pointe, sister resorts adjacent to the Shelter Cove Marina. There, you can enjoy fine dining or charter a boat for a deep-sea fishing adventure.
Travelers looking for more direct access to Hilton Head’s beaches will enjoy Monarch at Sea Pines, just steps from shore. Still, no matter where you stay, you can enjoy Hilton Head’s beaches and plentiful outdoor activities. Don’t forget your sunscreen!
Rolling Greens at Marriott Resorts in Palm Desert

Springtime is peak golf season in California, when the greens are as lush as emeralds and the open sky seems to stretch for miles. The Westin Desert Willow Villas, located in Palm Desert, California, is one of the best golf resorts in the country and an enticing option for MVC members looking to hit the links.
Guests of Westin Desert Willow Villas can enjoy full access to the Desert Willow Golf Resort, just steps away. This 36-hole complex features the championship-caliber Firecliff Course. There’s also a more beginner-friendly option in the form of the Mountain View Course. Travelers can also enjoy fine dining and world-class shopping, adding even more luxury to their tee time.
Summer: Globetrotting Adventures
One of the biggest factors to consider when planning a vacation is getting time off. This is especially true when vacationing with kids, which is why summer vacation is such a popular time to travel. The kids are out of school, and it’s the perfect time to take an extended trip.
Marriott doesn’t just offer resorts in the continental US. They’ve got properties all over the world! So if you’re longing for distant shores, maybe one of these Marriott timeshare locations will tickle your fancy.
Marriott Timeshare Locations in Hawaii: Aloha!

Visiting Hawaii is about as close as you can get to traveling abroad without actually leaving the country. This makes it a perfect destination for those who don’t want to bother with the hassle of international travel. The Aloha State is truly unique, with vistas, food, and culture you won’t find anywhere else in the country.
There are 12 Marriott, Sheraton, and Westin resort properties in Hawaii, from O’ahu to Maui, Kaua’i, and the Big Island. All offer ocean views and easy access to Hawaii’s famous beaches.
One of the most popular Marriott timeshare locations is the Maui Ocean Club, home to the Molokai, Maui, and Lanai Towers. Located on one of the most gorgeous beaches in the world, Maui Ocean Club is surrounded by natural beauty and plenty of things to do.
Marriott Resorts in France: Bonjour!

Paris is beautiful no matter when you visit, but the temperate summers are especially pleasant. Guests at Marriott’s Village d’Ile-de-France can enjoy all the beauty of the French countryside, with easy access to Paris and its nearby attractions.
Village d’Ile-de-France truly is a village, with adorable townhouses surrounding its palatial central building. You’ll truly feel like you’re retiring to your cozy home in the French countryside, because you are!
Autumn: Changing Leaves and Cozy Vibes
Whether you love the colorful leaves, the delicious food, or the chance to break out your sweater, many people call fall their favorite season. It’s also a good time to travel, whether you’re taking advantage of Thanksgiving break. Or using your last bit of vacation time before the year ends. Our picks for autumn are the perfect spots to curl up with your pumpkin spice.
Have an Urban Autumn in Boston at Marriott Timeshares

Marriott Vacation Club Pulse at Custom House, Boston, is located in one of Boston’s oldest skyscrapers, making it one of the most historically significant Marriott timeshare locations in the country. This clock tower has overlooked the city of Boston since 1915 and has been welcoming Vacation Club owners since 1997.
Custom House is part of Marriott’s city collection, making it closer to a traditional hotel than a resort. Rooms come in at just 450 sq. ft., making this a better option for couples and solo travelers. Still, with amenities like a movie theater, fitness center, private lounges, and a guest-only observation deck, you won’t be missing the extra legroom.
Autumn in Boston is truly something to behold, especially with the 360-degree views you’ll have from your accommodations. In addition to the beauty of the changing season, you can enjoy traditional autumn activities like apple picking. Or you can root for one of Boston’s many sports teams. Those looking for a spookier vibe can go take a trip to nearby Salem for the world’s largest Halloween celebration.
Unwind With Marriott in Historic Williamsburg

Williamsburg, Virginia, is steeped in American history, and you can watch it come to life all around you when visiting Marriott’s Manor Club. Plus, you’ll be surrounded by gorgeous autumn leaves, some of the best golf in the country.
Manor Club is located in Ford’s Colony, an award-winning gated community with three golf courses and a parklike setting. Many owners at this Marriott timeshare location are actually permanent residents of the community who fell in love during a visit. Now they keep their timeshares to accommodate visiting friends and family. It’s no wonder: the spacious villas really do feel like home. You can even cook an entire Thanksgiving meal in the full-sized kitchen!
Speaking of Thanksgiving, did you know the first Thanksgiving actually took place in Virginia? The Pilgrims and the Mayflower may have better PR, but you can celebrate the original holiday at Berkeley Plantation’s annual Thanksgiving Festival, just a short day trip away.
More Flexibility With Abound, Marriott Bonvoy, and Interval International
You probably noticed some non-Marriott properties mentioned in our recommendations. That’s no mistake: the Marriott Vacation Club is part of the Vistana Signature Network. MVC owners with points-based timeshares can use Abound, Marriott’s internal exchange program, to book stays at participating Sheraton, Westin, and Ritz-Carlton resorts. There are no extra fees for using Abound, so it’s a great way to get more flexibility out of your points.
MVC members are also automatically enrolled in the Marriott Bonvoy rewards program at Gold Elite status. Members can accrue Marriott Bonvoy points just by using their timeshare or through everyday activities like dining out or shopping. You can also convert Vacation Club points to Bonvoy points on a limited basis. Check your deed for more details on how often you can do this.
Marriott Bonvoy Points can be redeemed for stays at non-timeshare properties or for perks like upgraded rooms, free flights, and local experiences. Since a vacation club membership is a long-term commitment, Marriott Bonvoy points are a great added value. Use them to cut down on travel costs, add extra luxuries, or even to change up your vacation entirely.
If you’re really craving a change, the Interval International (II) vacation exchange program allows members to trade their club points for cruises, tours, or stays at affiliated resorts that aren’t part of the Abound program, such as Disney Vacation Club properties. There are additional fees for using II, but the extra flexibility it offers is more than worth it.
