With a view of Mt Rainier on one side and Mt St. Helens volcano on the other, the 300-acre Chehalis Preserve offers private campsites amid a forest of maple, alder, and douglas fir trees. Agate Creek, is accessible only by trails and is a favorite haunt for rock collectors in summer. Winter campers are attracted by excellent steelhead fishing in the Cowlitz River and other local streams.
