Meet our Leaders

Bert Blicher


Mr. Blicher was introduced to the timeshare industry in 1979 while working as the CEO of a finance and real estate company. At a time when no one had ever heard of "timeshare", he became the first ever U.S. lender to finance timeshare resorts.

For the past 38 years, Bert has been considered an expert in the vacation ownership industry. He served as the chairman of ARDA (American Resort Development Association), making it his mission to protect its reputation. He played a heavy role in the establishment of legislature that both guides developers and protects consumers. In 2000, he was awarded ARDA's Lifetime Achievement Award for his life's work: improving the timeshare industry for owners and developers alike.

Today, he is still very active in the timeshare world, an active investor and the owner of an affiliate network of companies that perpetuate his vision for the future of the timeshare industry.

Sam Pontius


Mr. Pontius serves as President for both Timeshares Only and its sister company, Fidelity Real Estate. He is responsible for leading the development and execution of both companies' global strategies. Mr. Pontius also oversees operations, ensuring the strategic direction and overall performance is in line with our fundamental goal of legitimizing the timeshare resale market.

Prior to joining our team in 2015, Mr. Pontius served as vice president of sales & marketing and chief operating officer of SPM Resorts and their Timeshare Resale Division. He has extensive experience in club development, owner services, asset management, acquisitions, fee-based services, strategic alliances, sales and marketing, association and property management as well as resort operations. He has held positions at both Hilton Grand Vacations and Orange Lake Resorts.

Mr. Pontius received a bachelor's degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University.

Shauna Norris


Ms. Norris is the senior vice president of marketing of Timeshares Only. She has successfully directed the performance and growth across all departments, driving the company's sales and marketing initiatives. Prior to assuming her current role in 2014, Ms. Norris served in multiple management and leadership positions with increasing responsibility since joining the company in 2004.

Ms. Norris is dedicated to providing the best possible experience for all clients. Connecting buyers and sellers by putting the needs of the consumer first.

Shauna attended school in California and quickly realized that real estate was her passion. She became licensed in 1999, specializing in high-end vacation ownership properties, repeatedly achieving Multi-Million-Dollar Club status.

Lisa Carter


Ms. Carter joined Timeshares Only and Fidelity Real Estate as director of accounting and human resources in 2013. She oversees company-wide HR strategy for both organizations. She has overall responsibility for the financial management of several multi-million dollar projects, providing strategic direction to maximize effectiveness of operations and support the company's ongoing initiatives.

Ms. Carter is a service-oriented leader with proven success in new market identification, change management, strategic thinking and problem solving. Among Ms. Carter's unique qualifications are over 15 years of accounting and leadership experience across the oil and gas industry.

Ms. Carter holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Management with certifications in Taxation, Human Resource Management and Financial Management.

A real estate company named Hapimag was established in Switzerland in 1963 by two gentleman whose clients were purchasing second and third vacation homes. These gentleman had the idea of structuring the purchase of vacation homes and flats among multiple owners who they referred to as "shareholders." They began with a single 13-unit resort which they sold in a "right to use" shared ownership program to families across Europe and quickly gained popularity as a more affordable option to owning your own vacation home.

Their new business model was so successful they began to acquire hotels and resorts across Europe as well. Their "shareholders" were assigned one point per share, making them innovators in the world's first points-based timeshare model. Today Hapimag boasts a portfolio of over 5300 flats and 57 resorts across the globe. The first timeshare resort in the United States was built in 1965 on the island of Maui, Hawaii. The Hilton Hale Kaanapali marked the first hotel-condominium timeshare in America. It was announced as a "Destination Resort Area" offering an entire self-sufficient community of activities, shopping and arts supported by a local population of doctors, lawyers and teachers. The planning that went into this project was revolutionary at the time. No other developer had designed a hospitality driven community for both vacationing guests and employees alike.



Resort Condominiums International, Inc. (RCI) opened its first offices in Indianapolis, quickly becoming one of the fastest growing companies in the United States. As pioneers of the vacation exchange program, RCI witnessed an increase in global popularity throughout the 1980s, leading the company to establish new offices on every continent (except Antarctica) in order to keep up with member and affiliate demand. This business model was the first of its kind, offering timeshare owners the ability to trade their week for a week at another resort, adding value to both the developer and the owner.

In 2006, RCI merged with a subsidiary of Wyndham Worldwide, today known as the Wyndham Destination Network.

Interval International (II) was formed in 1976 by a land developer and attorney in the Florida Keys. Interval International's founders are also credited with creating the first timeshare warranty deed and timeshare condominium documents, advocating for timeshare owner's rights as a response to a dip in the real estate market occurring in the early 1970s. Coining the phrase "interval ownership," these legal documents provided rights and options for timeshare owners across the globe.

In 2012, Bert Blicher purchased Timeshares Only and its affiliate real estate brokerage. Bert has been in the hospitality and timeshare industry for over 45 years. He has served as Chairman of the American Resort and Development Association (ARDA) and the International Timeshare Foundation. He was also the first recipient of the ARDA Lifetime Achievement Award. A graduate of Wharton School of Business at the University Pennsylvania, Bert has also served as the CEO of The Oxford First Corporation, a public traded company listed on the NYSE.

When Bert became the owner of Timeshares Only, he brought with him a vision of redefining the timeshare resale experience. This vision has accelerated our path of success, putting the needs of the customer first and allowing us to create products and services that fill those needs.

A History of Firsts

Timeshares Only opened its doors in 1994... over 25 years ago! At a time when the vacation ownership industry was booming, owners did not have a way to list their timeshare for sale. Timeshares Only was the original timeshare resale marketplace, the one stop shop for selling, renting and buying a timeshare resale property. Our marketing services were all encompassing, blanketing the entire country with billboards, radio ads, tv commercials, newspapers, magazines, direct mail and a customer service team large enough to support the explosive growth of the 2000's.
