Bonnet Creek is an excellent highly rated resort so close and convenient
to Disney World. The closest park is Epcot and depending upon the room
you get you can actually see the fireworks at night. BCR provides
transportation to the Disney Transportation Center for a fee. The last
time I checked it was $10 per person round trip but I would suggest if
this is important, you verify the current status of the transportation
option directly with the hotel. There is no charge for car parking at BCR
and no additional resort fees charged at check in.
This reservation is actually for 7 nights Sat Nov 22-Sat Nov 29 but
Redweek will only let me list the fist 3 nights (Sat-Tues) of the 7 day
reservation because of a Wyndham restriction that Redweek is honoring
which doesn't allow guests to stay Wed,Thurs and Fri with check out on
Saturday the 29th during Thanksgiving week unless the owner is also
staying at the same time which I am. So I can have Tues-Fri nights making
it a full week during Thanksgiving week Sat Nov 22 - Sat Nov 29 even
though it does fall into the 'warning period for guests' but this
reservation is protected. Each owner is allowed two reservations per year
in a black out period and this is one of mine as well so it should be
double protected. I appreciate Redweek putting out the warning notice so
folks aren't caught off-guard or misled. But in my case this reservation
should be protected for those reasons. The price is the same per night
for all 7 nights ($375*7=$2,625).
If you need different dates, different size accommodations or even a
different Wyndham resort, let me know what you are looking for and I will
check availability and restricted dates.
Wyndham now allows you to add up to 3 nights before or 3 nights after any
existing reservation until 2 days before check-in if there is
availability. Also if these exact dates don't fit your schedule, let me
know what you are looking for and I will try to find availability for
you.
Two bedroom units have a full kitchen, washer and dryer in the unit and
will accommodate up to 8 people and are not lockoff units. There is a
king bed in the master suite with a private bath and jetted tub. The
second bedroom has two beds plus a sleeper sofa in the living room and a
second bathroom. There are TV's in all bedrooms and the living room.
Three bedroom units have a full kitchen, washer and dryer in the unit and
will accommodate up to 10 people and are not lockoff units. There is a
king bed in the master suite with a private bath and jetted tub. The
second bedroom has one bqueen bed and the third bedroom has 2 double beds
plus a sleeper sofa in the living room and a second bathroom. There are
TV's in all bedrooms and the living room.
There are no additional fees or charges at check-in but you will have to
put a $250 credit card charge on file for miscellaneous charges.
I've found that payment by Venmo works great for both of us. I will send
you my Venmo id if you decide to make a reservation.
One other feature that Wyndham offers (not me) is the option to pay an
additional non-refundable $149 fee that allows me to cancel your
reservation up to one day before arrival and I get a 100% refund which in
turn I refund you.
As many of you probably already know, Wyndham has implemented what I call
a "blackout list''' of dates where Bonnet Creek is off limits to guests
having a reservation if the owner is not also on property during the same
time. I have been told that if they are going to cancel a reservation,
they will do it within 48 hours of making a guest reservation. Any
reservations I have are generally outside of the restricted dates or I
have a personal reservation and will be there at the same time so the
blackout doesn't apply.
I understand Redweeks logic for posting their warning message and I fully
support them doing that so there are no surprises or confusion. Another
alternative to Bonnet Creek during any of their restricted dates is the
Wyndham Cypress Palms or Star Island (both down on Hwy 192 in Kissimmee).
They are my go-to resorts if I can't get into Bonnet Creek and have
stayed there myself multiple times. The room decor is very similar at a
lower price but there are fewer amenities on the property compared to
Bonnet Creek.
If you are interested in any reservations, just let me know. As soon as I
receive payment for any reservation, I will transfer the reservation into
your name and Wyndham will send you a confirmation showing you as the
registered guest.
I am more than willing to search for any dates that you would like to go
to Bonnet Creek (or any other Wyndham location) as long as they do not
fall in a restricted period. For the most part, the restricted dates are
all around holidays, Spring Break and a good portion of summer (no
surprise there). Prices and availability vary of course by season, number
of weekend nights and size of accommodations but I'll be glad to try to
find anything for you depending on unit size and dates. There is a two
night minimum on most reservations but I did recently run into a 3 night
minimum at one location.
Also, if you ever need any days in Branson, Missouri, I am very familiar
with the 3 resorts there and the area. I have stayed there many times
over the last 20 years and was just there this summer for a Kanakuk
closing at K-Country if you know what that is. First granddaughter now
going after my daughter went for 10 years and was a counselor for 2 years
(starting new tradition!).
Please contact me if you have any questions.

More information on our formula...
Hotels usually sleep 2 adults per room, whereas the average timeshare units offer multiple private bedrooms, sleeper sofas and sometimes even bunk beds - adding value not calculated here. Timeshare properties are condo style units that contain all of the comforts of home... and then some!
Hotel total cost includes a 10% hotel tax whereas the average U.S. hotel tax is currently around 13.4%.
Timeshare total cost includes an increase in maintenance dues each year of 3%, as well as an estimated $1,000 in closing and transfer costs. These are estimated and will vary by state, county and resort.
Total savings does not take into consideration the added benefit of a timeshare unit having a spacious living room, washer and dryer, dining room and full kitchen, all of which add value and potential savings when you have the option to do your own laundry and enjoy a home cooked meal instead of dining out.
