January is the perfect time of year - not crowded and fantastic weather.

Unit 50 is half way up the hill; high enough for spectacular views and
out of the range of the road noise heard at the lower units, but low
enough to watch whales out all throughout the day in January. Bring a
pair of binoculars to see them breach, do tail slaps and swim in groups
right in front of the resort.

An easy few minute walk down to the new Clubhouse, which encloses the
Workout Center, Armonia Spa, Cibola Restaurant and Pool, and the
Montecristo Check-in Office.

Golf is now an available amenity on the grounds with the new Jack
Nicklaus course at Quivira. We have played the course and it is truly
spectacular.

The Cibola clubhouse with its own luxuriously warm swimming pool and
sports bar is very convenient for lunch or dinner - or a quick half-price
happy hour drink.
