The resort is nestled between the Mountains and Lake regions. Heading north take a short drive and visit The Flume Gorge, a natural Gorge extending 800 ft at base of Mt. Liberty, which you can hike a 2 mile loop. Or take the Cannon Mt Aerial Tramway which takes you 4000 feet to the summit of Cannon Mt. to get a 360 degree view of the mountains. Head east about nine miles and you can enjoy paddle boarding, kayaking and canoeing on Winnisquam Lake or Lake Winnipesaukee or enjoy a boat ride on Squam Lake where the movie, On Golden Pond, was filmed. And no matter where you go there are shops, arcades, mini golf and ice cream parlors.
