This is an an Ocean Front guest room that was locked off from a two
bedroom unit. Each room has a separate door to the outside and locked
doors between the two units (for when a family uses the entire two
bedroom unit at the same time). We did pay the lock-off fee. The guest
room can be wrapped around the side of the building in some
configurations. Because the room may not be on the front of the building,
some guests may not think of it as ocean front, but rather Ocean View or
Mountain Garden view. If the room ends up on the parking lot side of the
Lanai Building, there will be no ocean view. As such, we price this room
as a Mountain Garden View room, not an Ocean Front room. That's why the
room is priced so low compared to other OF rentals. We want to be
completely transparent. No owner can promise that a locked-off OF guest
room will not be in a wrap around location. We can send a graphic of the
building and have a phone conversation to better explain.
You will not find a better location on a better beach in Maui. You will
receive a full confirmation directly from Marriott for your stay at which
time you can make requests, book shows and cabanas and start your
planning. This is Marriott's most sought after timeshare resort.
Walk to Whaler's Village. Grill out on one of the many high end grills
scattered along the property or use the large, fully equipped kitchen
located on the lobby level for guest use. Enjoy the fabulous pool.

Hotels usually sleep 2 adults per room, whereas the average timeshare units offer multiple private bedrooms, sleeper sofas and sometimes even bunk beds - adding value not calculated here. Timeshare properties are condo style units that contain all of the comforts of home... and then some!
Hotel total cost includes a 10% hotel tax whereas the average U.S. hotel tax is currently around 13.4%.
