PLEASE NOTE: We visited the resort in Oct. 2023 and May 2024 and there was no damage from the Aug. 2023 fires. Restaurants and establishments outside of Lahaina are open and running, including the nearby Safeway and Lahaina Gateway across the street. Whaler's village is fully open with many shops and restaurants to choose from, although a few have changed. You won't notice much different except for downtown Lahaina which is being rebuilt. This lovely 1 bedroom 2 bath Mountain or Garden View unit is booked in the original towers for one full week at the popular Marriott Maui Ocean club on Kaanapali Beach, Maui! There are no added resort fees, and the occupancy taxes on the one bedroom are about $32.43 per night (2024 rates--saves from the roughly 14%+ hotel tax if renting through the lobby.) This resort features many amenities and fun activities all included with your rental! Sleep up to 4 people and enjoy free self-parking only available for owners and their renters (a $30 per day savings). Valet parking is $35 per day. The one bedroom is two full rooms with two full bathrooms and lanais. It has a large kitchen area with granite counter top, a sink, microwave, toaster, apartment size refrigerator with separate freezer, blender, cutting board, utensils and cabinets filled with service for 4. More kitchen ammenities available free by request. Each unit has it's own large private lanai with a beautiful mountain/island or garden view (sometimes with a peek of partial ocean view). Free washer/dryers are available for use near the pool in the basement area of the Lanai towers near the main pool. There is also a common kitchen area right across from the front desk where you can use your pans to cook on the stove and have access to a large toaster oven. You can request extra pans from guest services. There are two BBQ areas at the base of the large super pool with waterfalls and two jacuzzis, and towel hut. The main pool area also has a large slide, a poolside bar, umbrellas and lawn chairs and and a separate pirate ship and sand area for small children. You have full-access to all the other resort amenities, including the two smaller pools with jacuzzis at the base of the other two towers. Starbuck's, a beach cafe and a new restaurant, Longhi's are all on site, along with a salon, a florist, a lobby and surf shop, a spa, a jeweler, a photographer and workout gym with an ocean view. (Some of these may have changed since August 2023 fires.) Marriott's Maui Ocean Club is a beautiful beachfront resort best known for it's acres of swimming with 3 saline pools, a water slide, four large jacuzzis, water volleyball and basketball and a pirate ship and pebble sand area for small children. Daily free activities are available for kids, families, and adults such as sand castle-building contests, scavenger hunts, art projects, bocce ball, bingo, Texas Hold 'Em & Poker tournaments with great prizes! All pool and workout facilities are included in your room rental (no resort fees!). A few optional activities are available for a small fee including beach fishing, kids night out babysitting, etc. Marriott's Maui Ocean Club is within 10-15 minutes walking distance to Whaler's Village shopping center with many shops and restaurants to choose from if you don't have a car.
