Notes: Hacienda Del Mar states that Executive units are a 1 bedroom, 2
full bath, sleep 6 timeshare. Currently, there are 2 buildings out of 36
that have Executive timeshares that have OCEANFRONT views and the owner
recently stayed at Bldg 4, Rm 423 Mar 1 - 15 2025. The upstairs sofa bed
had room to sleep one adult, NOT two. Owner does not guarantee the
building that guest(s) will be placed in, and that any Executive suites
with an OCEANFRONT VIEW will fully sleep 6, comfortably.
Owner does not guarantee that guest{s) will not have to move to another
Executive suite from one week to the next. Owner has put in a request
that the guest(s) desires to stay in the same unit from one week to the
next. Upon arrival, guest(s) will need to re-iterate this request to the
front desk upon check-in.
Owner does not want a cancellation on renting the timeshare. If the
guest(s) want to be covered for their cancellation they should seek out
separate travel insurance.
I have two (2) confirmation certificates. One for the first week and one
for the 2nd week. Because I pulled one week from the back of my contract,
HDM began for 2026 and on, not combining the confirmation weeks.THEY WILL
NOT COMBINE THE WEEKS ONTO ONE CONFIRMATION.
It is hard to get OCEANFRONT accomodations at HDM.

Hotels usually sleep 2 adults per room, whereas the average timeshare units offer multiple private bedrooms, sleeper sofas and sometimes even bunk beds - adding value not calculated here. Timeshare properties are condo style units that contain all of the comforts of home... and then some!
Hotel total cost includes a 10% hotel tax whereas the average U.S. hotel tax is currently around 13.4%.
Timeshare total cost includes an increase in maintenance dues each year of 3%, as well as an estimated $1,000 in closing and transfer costs. These are estimated and will vary by state, county and resort.
Total savings does not take into consideration the added benefit of a timeshare unit having a spacious living room, washer and dryer, dining room and full kitchen, all of which add value and potential savings when you have the option to do your own laundry and enjoy a home cooked meal instead of dining out.
