New additions are happening at Disneyland constantly. Mickey and Minnie
runaway train that opened recently is a lot of fun. It's a big hit with
little kids, and is in Toon Town.
1 king master bedroom with bathroom, 2nd bedroom with two queen beds, a
sleep sofa in the living room, another full bathroom, kitchenette with
microwave, under-counter refrigerator, coffeemaker, toaster and dishes.
Very close to Disneyland, really it's not a bad walk, but the ART Shuttle
stops by the resort about every 20 minutes, and the price is very
reasonable, cheaper than parking, which is now $35 per day at the Toy
Story lot. We would rather take the ART shuttle.
Website is rideart dot com. All of the information you need is there.
There is a charge for parking a car at the resort. It's mandatory valet.
Those cars are packed into that lot, and I find it amazing that the
valets can maneuver all of the cars during busy times of year. The
parking fee is $20 per night + tax. We don't tip the valet because it's a
private service. That's up to you, if you want to tip. They move about
ten cars an hour, so consider that when you are handing them $10 to get
your car out. I have watched the valets while waiting to check in or
waiting for the shuttle.
You will also be charged a $160 housekeeping fee by the resort. The front
desk will disclose this fee to you at check-in. If you do not get
charged, that's great because I get six housekeeping included, but I
never know when Wyndham will charge my guests and when they will get the
free housekeeping. This is very random. It's extremely unpredictable.
I booked my weeks with points. I may be able to get other dates,
especially for 2025.
I am only recovering my maintenance fees for these units. I don't make
anything on these reservations. I just need to get my Shell points used,
and then I will attempt to give them away. We are reducing the numbers of
points and weeks we own as we are getting close to 70 now, and our kids
don't want or need these timeshares we have had for decades.
There are so many restaurants nearby, especially at Garden Walk Anaheim,
only one block walk from Peacock Suites.
Wyndham took over management about six years ago and they do a good job
of keeping it clean and updated. We were impressed during our last stay.
And the beds are so comfortable after a long day at the parks.

More information on our formula...
Hotels usually sleep 2 adults per room, whereas the average timeshare units offer multiple private bedrooms, sleeper sofas and sometimes even bunk beds - adding value not calculated here. Timeshare properties are condo style units that contain all of the comforts of home... and then some!
Hotel total cost includes a 10% hotel tax whereas the average U.S. hotel tax is currently around 13.4%.
Timeshare total cost includes an increase in maintenance dues each year of 3%, as well as an estimated $1,000 in closing and transfer costs. These are estimated and will vary by state, county and resort.
Total savings does not take into consideration the added benefit of a timeshare unit having a spacious living room, washer and dryer, dining room and full kitchen, all of which add value and potential savings when you have the option to do your own laundry and enjoy a home cooked meal instead of dining out.
