  • Visit the beach: With 23 miles of white, sandy beaches and an Atlantic Ocean fronting that's legendary for its swimming and surfing action, it's little wonder this is the area's biggest draw.   • Auto racing: While the beaches pack them in, the home of the Daytona 500 keeps the action racing. The Daytona International Speedway is just a major attraction that many are hard-pressed to leave without paying it a visit. DeLand House, the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse and Jackie Robinson Ballpark and Statute. There are even tours of "haunted" locations within the waterfront community.
  • Water sports: The waters in and around Daytona are also fantastic for a number of other water sports beyond swimming. Some of the attractions include fishing, jet skiing, parasailing and more. Visitors will find there are even surfing and skiing schools available to teach beginners the ropes. Boat rentals and charter boat tours are also available.   • Other attractions: Vacationers in Daytona will find there are a number of other things to see and do. The Marineland Dolphin Conservation Center is found here. There are also a number of shops, restaurants and galleries to explore. For the adventurous types, Skydive Deland isn't too far away other.
  • Nearby destinations: While most visitors come for the beaches and stay for them, too, there are many other things to do in the general region. Within a short driving distance, visitors will find the sites of St. Augustine, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, West Palm Beach and even the Kennedy Space Center.
